1. Document Purpose

This Community & Professional Conduct Policy establishes the standards of behavior expected from users interacting within the ReadinessOS ecosystem.

The objective of this policy is to foster a respectful, collaborative, and professional environment that promotes operational learning, knowledge sharing, and continuous readiness improvement across the maritime industry.

ReadinessOS is intended to be a professional platform, not a social media platform.


2. Scope

This policy applies to:

  • Professional user accounts
  • Vessel accounts
  • Future fleet accounts
  • Founding Vessel participants
  • Closed Beta participants
  • Future Readiness Passport users
  • Comments
  • Scenario discussions
  • Readiness meetings
  • AI-assisted discussions
  • Future messaging features
  • Future marketplace interactions
  • Future community forums

3. Professional Standards

Users are expected to conduct themselves professionally at all times.

Participation within ReadinessOS should promote:

  • Operational learning
  • Respectful discussion
  • Knowledge sharing
  • Continuous improvement
  • Collaboration
  • Constructive feedback
  • Professional integrity

Users should contribute positively to the maritime readiness community.


4. Respectful Communication

Users shall communicate respectfully with other users.

Users shall not engage in:

  • Harassment
  • Bullying
  • Threats
  • Personal attacks
  • Defamation
  • Intimidation
  • Hate speech
  • Discrimination
  • Abusive language
  • Offensive conduct

Professional disagreement is acceptable when conducted respectfully.


5. Operational Discussions

Scenario discussions, drill reviews, and readiness conversations should focus on:

  • Safety
  • Lessons learned
  • Risk reduction
  • Operational improvement
  • Technical discussion
  • Human factors
  • Continuous learning

Discussions should remain constructive and fact-based.


6. Misinformation

Users shall not knowingly publish:

  • False readiness records
  • False technical information
  • False safety procedures
  • Misleading emergency guidance
  • Fraudulent professional claims
  • Manipulated documentation
  • Deliberately inaccurate operational advice

Users should distinguish opinion from verified information whenever practical.


7. Confidentiality

Users shall respect confidential information relating to:

  • Vessel owners
  • Guests
  • Crew members
  • Operators
  • Management companies
  • Charter operations
  • Security procedures
  • Technical documentation
  • Commercial information

ReadinessOS should not be used to disclose confidential operational information without appropriate authorization.


8. Professional Reputation

Users should avoid conduct that intentionally damages the professional reputation of:

  • Individuals
  • Vessel operators
  • Management companies
  • Employers
  • Clients
  • Industry organizations

Legitimate factual discussion and good-faith reporting remain permissible where consistent with applicable law.


9. Educational Environment

ReadinessOS encourages:

Educational discussion should prioritize safety and professionalism.


10. AI-Assisted Interactions

Users remain responsible for reviewing AI-generated content before sharing or implementing it.

AI-generated content should not be presented as authoritative fact without appropriate verification.

Future platform messaging systems should be used exclusively for legitimate professional purposes.

Users shall not use messaging features for:

  • Spam
  • Harassment
  • Fraud
  • Commercial solicitation
  • Phishing
  • Distribution of malicious content
  • Unauthorized advertising

Messaging functionality remains subject to moderation where appropriate.


12. Future Marketplace Conduct

If marketplace functionality is introduced, users shall:

  • Act honestly
  • Describe products accurately
  • Respect intellectual property
  • Avoid counterfeit materials
  • Avoid fraudulent services
  • Honor commercial commitments

Marketplace disputes may be subject to separate platform policies.


13. Moderation

ReadinessOS reserves the right to:

  • Review public content
  • Remove inappropriate content
  • Restrict visibility
  • Lock discussions
  • Suspend participation
  • Remove community privileges
  • Remove offensive material
  • Preserve evidence for investigation

Moderation decisions are made to maintain platform integrity and professionalism.


14. Reporting Misconduct

Users may report suspected misconduct including:

  • Harassment
  • Fraud
  • Abuse
  • Spam
  • Offensive content
  • False professional claims
  • Confidentiality violations
  • Platform manipulation

15. Enforcement

Violations of this policy may result in:

The severity of enforcement may depend upon the nature and frequency of the violation.


16. Freedom of Professional Discussion

Nothing in this policy prohibits users from engaging in respectful technical discussion, constructive criticism, safety analysis, or good-faith reporting of operational concerns.

ReadinessOS encourages professional dialogue that improves safety, readiness, and industry knowledge while maintaining respect for individuals and organizations.


17. Relationship to Other Policies

This policy should be interpreted together with:

Where conflicts exist regarding personal information processing, the Privacy Policy shall govern.

ReadinessOS may revise this policy as community features, messaging capabilities, AI functionality, marketplace services, or legal requirements evolve.

Updated versions become effective upon publication unless otherwise specified.
