1. Document Purpose

This Professional Profile Policy establishes how ReadinessOS creates, manages, displays, and maintains professional user profiles within the platform.

The objective of the Professional Profile is to provide a permanent professional identity that documents operational readiness participation throughout a maritime career while preserving user ownership, privacy, and historical continuity.

Professional Profiles document participation and professional history. They do not certify competency, qualifications, or employment suitability.

2. Scope

This policy applies to:

  • Professional user accounts
  • Future Readiness Passport records
  • Career Timeline records
  • Identity verification
  • Professional summaries
  • Vessel history
  • Certificate records
  • Readiness participation history
  • Badge history
  • Future professional networking features

3. Definitions

For the purposes of this policy:

Professional Profile means the permanent digital identity associated with an individual user within ReadinessOS.

Professional Record means information associated with a user's professional participation history.

ReadinessOS Identity (ROS ID) means the permanent platform identifier assigned to a professional user.

4. Purpose of the Professional Profile

The Professional Profile exists to document an individual's operational readiness participation over time.

Its objective is to answer:

> "How has this individual participated in operational readiness activities throughout their career?"

The Professional Profile is not intended to determine:

  • Professional competence
  • Employment suitability
  • Regulatory compliance
  • Professional licensing
  • Certification validity

Those determinations remain the responsibility of employers, operators, regulators, and training organizations.

5. ReadinessOS Identity

Every professional profile may receive a permanent ReadinessOS Identity.

Example:

ROS-000128

The ReadinessOS Identity remains permanently associated with the individual regardless of:

  • Vessel changes
  • Employer changes
  • Email changes
  • Geographic relocation
  • Temporary inactivity

A new identity is not created when a user changes vessels or employment.

6. Profile Ownership

The Professional Profile belongs to the individual user.

The profile remains independent from:

  • Vessel ownership
  • Vessel positions
  • Fleet membership
  • Company affiliation
  • Subscription status

Professional identity remains attached to the user throughout their participation in ReadinessOS.

7. Profile Information

Professional Profiles may include:

  • Full legal name
  • Preferred name
  • Current rank
  • Nationality
  • Professional summary
  • Years of industry experience
  • Current vessel
  • Previous vessels
  • Career Timeline
  • ReadinessOS Identity
  • Verification status
  • Membership date
  • Professional achievements

Additional fields may be introduced as platform functionality evolves.

8. Certificate Records

Users may upload certificates and professional documentation for record management purposes.

Examples include:

  • STCW
  • Certificate of Competency
  • ENG1
  • Yachtmaster
  • Engineering qualifications
  • Medical certificates
  • Seaman's Book
  • Passport
  • Other professional records

ReadinessOS stores uploaded records for profile management purposes.

ReadinessOS does not certify, validate, endorse, or guarantee uploaded qualifications unless explicitly stated.

9. Vessel History

Professional Profiles may maintain historical vessel assignments.

Examples:

  • M/Y Buzios
  • M/Y Explorer
  • M/Y Aurora

Changing vessel membership does not erase previous participation history.

Historical vessel associations remain part of the user's professional record unless removed under applicable law or platform policy.

10. Readiness Participation

Professional Profiles may display:

  • Drill participation
  • Scenario reviews
  • Scenario discussions
  • Observation history
  • Corrective action history
  • Training participation
  • Scenario exposure
  • Readiness engagement history

These records document platform participation only.

They do not constitute competency evaluations or professional endorsements.

11. Accuracy of Information

Users are responsible for maintaining accurate professional information.

Users should not knowingly submit:

  • False identities
  • False employment history
  • Forged certificates
  • Fraudulent qualifications
  • False readiness participation
  • Misleading professional information

Submission of fraudulent information may result in enforcement actions under the Account Suspension and Fraud Policy.

12. Administrative Review

ReadinessOS may review profile information where necessary to:

  • Verify identity
  • Prevent fraud
  • Resolve disputes
  • Investigate abuse
  • Maintain platform integrity
  • Review support requests

Administrative review does not constitute certification of professional qualifications.

13. Corrections

Users may request correction of factual inaccuracies including:

  • Name
  • Nationality
  • Vessel history
  • Position history
  • Certificate records
  • Career Timeline
  • Badge assignments
  • Readiness participation records

Supporting evidence may be required.

Historical audit records may be preserved where appropriate.

14. Profile Visibility

Users control the visibility of their Professional Profile through available privacy settings.

Visibility options may include:

  • Private
  • Current Vessel Only
  • Shared Link
  • Public Profile

Public display of profile information requires user authorization.

15. Future Readiness Passport Integration

The Professional Profile serves as the foundation for the future Readiness Passport.

Passport summaries may include selected information from the Professional Profile while remaining subject to user privacy controls.

Professional Profiles and Readiness Passports remain linked through the permanent ReadinessOS Identity.

16. Relationship to Other Policies

This policy should be interpreted together with:

  • Terms of Service
  • Privacy Policy
  • Readiness Passport Policy
  • Career Timeline Policy
