1. Document Purpose

This Appeals and Corrections Policy establishes the process through which users may request review, correction, or reconsideration of administrative decisions, account actions, verification outcomes, readiness records, professional information, and other data maintained by ReadinessOS.

The objective of this policy is to ensure fairness, transparency, accountability, and data accuracy throughout the platform.


2. Scope

This policy applies to:

  • Vessel accounts
  • Captains
  • Designated vessel operators
  • Founding Vessel participants
  • Closed Beta participants
  • Future crew accounts
  • Future professional profiles
  • Future Readiness Passport records
  • Verification decisions
  • Administrative enforcement actions
  • Platform-generated records

3. Definitions

For the purposes of this policy:

Appeal means a formal request asking ReadinessOS to reconsider an administrative decision.

Correction Request means a request to modify inaccurate information stored by the platform.

Supporting Evidence means documentation or information submitted to support an appeal or correction request.

Administrative Review means an internal evaluation performed by authorized ReadinessOS personnel.


4. Decisions That May Be Appealed

Users may submit appeals regarding:

  • Identity verification denials
  • Vessel verification decisions
  • Account suspension
  • Account restrictions
  • Fraud determinations
  • Seat access denial
  • Beta participation removal
  • Founding Vessel eligibility decisions
  • Badge revocations
  • Professional profile review decisions
  • Future Passport verification status

ReadinessOS may determine that certain administrative decisions are final and not subject to appeal.


5. Correction Requests

Users may request correction of information including:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Vessel information
  • Professional role
  • Operational records
  • Competency records
  • Uploaded documents
  • Readiness history
  • Career timeline entries
  • Future Passport information
  • Badge assignments
  • Verification status

Requests should include sufficient information to identify the record requiring correction.


6. Evidence Submission

Appeals or correction requests may include:

  • Government identification
  • Vessel documentation
  • Company authorization letters
  • Employment records
  • Certificates
  • Training records
  • Technical documentation
  • Supporting photographs
  • Emails
  • Official correspondence
  • Other relevant evidence

Submission of fraudulent evidence may result in account suspension or permanent removal.


7. Administrative Review Process

Upon receiving an appeal or correction request, ReadinessOS may:

  • Verify the identity of the requester
  • Review submitted evidence
  • Compare platform records
  • Request additional information
  • Consult previous administrative actions
  • Consult platform logs
  • Review verification history
  • Review related policies

Each request is evaluated individually.


8. Response Time

ReadinessOS will make reasonable efforts to review appeals and correction requests in a timely manner.

Response times may vary depending upon:

  • Request complexity
  • Volume of requests
  • Evidence submitted
  • Platform operations
  • Legal requirements

ReadinessOS does not guarantee any specific response timeframe.


9. Correction Outcomes

Following review, ReadinessOS may:

  • Approve the correction
  • Partially approve the correction
  • Reject the correction
  • Request additional information
  • Maintain the existing record
  • Archive previous information while updating current records

Historical audit records may be preserved even after corrections are made.


10. Appeal Outcomes

Administrative review may result in:

  • Decision upheld
  • Decision modified
  • Decision reversed
  • Temporary restriction removed
  • Verification approved
  • Suspension lifted
  • Additional verification requested
  • Permanent denial maintained

The decision issued following review may be final.


11. Historical Records

To preserve platform integrity and auditability, ReadinessOS may retain historical administrative records even after successful appeals or corrections.

Historical versions may remain archived for security, legal, or operational purposes.


12. Fraudulent Appeals

ReadinessOS reserves the right to reject appeals involving:

  • False statements
  • Forged documentation
  • Identity fraud
  • Misrepresentation
  • Duplicate submissions intended to abuse the process
  • Malicious use of the appeals system

Fraudulent submissions may result in additional enforcement actions.


13. Future Readiness Passport Corrections

Future Readiness Passport records may include:

  • Competency history
  • Drill participation
  • Professional milestones
  • Badge history
  • Readiness achievements

Users may request correction of factual inaccuracies supported by objective evidence.

ReadinessOS may preserve historical versions for audit purposes while displaying corrected information.


14. AI-Generated Records

Future AI-generated recommendations, summaries, competency suggestions, or readiness analytics may contain inaccuracies.

Users may request review where AI-generated content materially affects their platform experience or professional records.

AI-generated recommendations remain informational and do not constitute official certification or employment records.


15. Privacy and Confidentiality

Information submitted during appeals and corrections will be processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

Submitted documentation will only be accessed by authorized personnel or service providers where necessary.


16. Relationship to Other Policies

This policy should be interpreted together with:
