1. Document Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy establishes the standards governing appropriate use of the ReadinessOS platform.
The objective of this policy is to maintain a secure, professional, respectful, and trustworthy operational environment while protecting users, vessel accounts, platform integrity, and future AI-powered services.
All users are expected to use ReadinessOS responsibly and in accordance with applicable laws and platform policies.

This policy applies to:
- Professional user accounts
- Vessel accounts
- Future fleet accounts
- Founding Vessel participants
- Closed Beta participants
- Future Readiness Passport users
- Administrative users
- Future API users
- Future marketplace participants
- Future community features
3. General Principle
ReadinessOS is intended exclusively for legitimate operational readiness, professional development, and vessel management activities.
Users shall use the platform honestly, professionally, and in good faith.
Any activity intended to deceive, disrupt, manipulate, exploit, or damage the platform or its users is prohibited.
4. Permitted Use
Users may use ReadinessOS to:
- Participate in drills
- Review operational scenarios
- Record observations
- Manage corrective actions
- Maintain professional readiness history
- Maintain professional profiles
- Upload certificates
- Upload vessel documentation
- Improve operational preparedness
- Participate in educational activities
- Support vessel readiness programs
Use must remain consistent with the intended purpose of the platform.
5. Prohibited Activities
Users shall not:
- Create fake accounts
- Impersonate another person
- Impersonate a vessel
- Impersonate a company
- Submit fraudulent information
- Submit forged documents
- Manipulate readiness records
- Create fictitious drill participation
- Manipulate readiness scores
- Manipulate badge eligibility
- Misrepresent professional history
- Misrepresent vessel authority
- Circumvent subscription limits
- Circumvent administrative controls
- Abuse platform functionality
6. Platform Abuse
The following activities are prohibited:
- Reverse engineering
- Source code extraction
- Unauthorized testing
- Unauthorized penetration attempts
- Automated scraping
- Bulk data extraction
- Credential stuffing
- Brute-force attacks
- Denial-of-service attacks
- Malware distribution
- Phishing
- Unauthorized automation
- Exploitation of vulnerabilities
Users may not intentionally interfere with platform operation.
7. AI Abuse
Users shall not use AI functionality to:
- Generate false readiness history
- Fabricate certificates
- Create misleading reports
- Generate fraudulent operational records
- Produce deceptive professional summaries
- Manipulate readiness metrics
- Circumvent verification systems
- Mislead employers or vessel operators
AI services must be used responsibly and for legitimate operational purposes.
8. Professional Integrity
Users are expected to maintain professional standards while using ReadinessOS.
Users shall not knowingly submit:
- False qualifications
- False experience
- False employment history
- False vessel assignments
- False operational participation
- False corrective actions
- False observations
- False verification documents
Integrity of platform records is essential to the purpose of ReadinessOS.
9. Security Responsibilities
Users shall:
- Protect account credentials
- Maintain secure passwords
- Report suspicious activity
- Log out from shared devices
- Avoid credential sharing
- Protect uploaded documentation
Users remain responsible for activity occurring under their authenticated account.
10. Respectful Conduct
Users shall not:
- Harass other users
- Threaten other users
- Intimidate users
- Discriminate against users
- Publish abusive content
- Defame individuals
- Upload offensive material
- Promote illegal activity
- Use the platform for personal attacks
ReadinessOS is intended to maintain a professional maritime environment.
11. Intellectual Property
Users shall not upload content that infringes the intellectual property rights of others.
Users remain responsible for ensuring they possess lawful rights to upload:
- Documents
- Manuals
- Drawings
- Images
- Certificates
- Technical documentation
- Videos
- Training materials
Unauthorized distribution of copyrighted material is prohibited.
12. Confidential Information
Users shall not intentionally disclose confidential information belonging to:
- Vessel owners
- Operators
- Management companies
- Crew members
- Third parties
- Clients
- Charter guests
Users remain responsible for complying with confidentiality obligations applicable to their employment or contracts.
13. Automation and Bots
Unauthorized automated interaction with ReadinessOS is prohibited.
Examples include:
- Scraping bots
- Data harvesting
- Automated account creation
- Automated credential attacks
- Automated badge manipulation
- Automated readiness manipulation
Authorized API access may be governed by separate platform policies.
14. Marketplace and Commercial Activity
Unless expressly authorized, users shall not use ReadinessOS for:
- Unauthorized advertising
- Spam distribution
- Commercial solicitation
- Sale of counterfeit documents
- Sale of fraudulent certificates
- Unauthorized recruitment
- Unapproved marketing campaigns
Future marketplace functionality remains subject to separate policies.
15. Enforcement
Violation of this policy may result in:
- Warning
- Feature restriction
- Temporary suspension
- Verification review
- Badge removal
- Passport restriction
- Subscription termination
- Permanent account termination
- Legal action where appropriate
Enforcement decisions remain at the discretion of ReadinessOS.
16. Reporting Abuse
